Environment: Coral Bay is situated in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia; it is a remote, dry location, classified as desert. Fresh water is a particularly valuable commodity here; we ask that you use it wisely. At the moment all of our fresh drinking water is privately supplied by local land owners using ‘reverse osmosis’ technology. In the near future we expect our water to be supplied by a government initiative project with the installation of a desalination plant, this is currently under construction. Much of Coral Bay and its surrounds, including the Ningaloo Reef System are protected by Department of Environment & Conservation regulations as a Marine Park. At Ningaloo Reef Dive we support the “NO TOUCH” protocol. Flora & fauna within the Ningaloo Reef Marine Park is protected and preserved for future generations by following this simple rule. We thank you for your support. Our links page provides some avenues for further information.

Weather: Coral Bay’s temperatures (measured in Celsius) vary from high 30’s in our summer (December to March) low to mid 30’s during autumn (April & May) and spring (Sept, Oct & Nov) with winter temperatures (June, July & Aug) in the low to mid 20’s. Very little rainfall is experienced at any time during the year. Winter nights can be quite cold, and warm clothing is recommended.
