At Ningaloo Reef Dive in
Coral Bay we are able to offer you a range of dive sites showcasing
the attractions of the Ningaloo Reef Marine Park. Listed below are
just some of the many sites we visit, all only a short distance from
Coral Bay.
Inner Reef Dive Sites:
| Asho's Gap: max depth 12 metres. The highlight of this dive is
a cleaning station where we often encounter reef sharks. Schools of
Spangled Emperor greet the boat upon arrival. Many different species of amazing hard coral
formations, a large anemone patch with resident clown fish.
Frequently schools of Trevally and Barracuda, octopus,
and turtles can be seen here. |

Lottie's Lagoon: max depth 11 metres Beautiful coral bommies
in a sheltered lagoon with tropical fish, cod, giant clam.
Rays, trevally, frog fish, stone fish, scorpion fish
and moray eels can be seen here. |
| The Canyon: max depth 12
metres A channel lined with coral walls gives this site its
name. A large resident Loggerhead Turtle is
often seen here. Garden Eels, reef sharks, Angel Fish, Parrot Fish,
Anemone patch, beautiful coral formations. |

The Porites: max depth 12 metres Many unusual coral
formations, named for its many brain coral bommies. Octopus, Cuttlefish, Nudibranchs,
Shrimp, Moray Eels,
Batfish, Wobbiegong Sharks, soft corals. |
|
Black Douglas Rocks: max depth 12 metres 2 big bommies. Lion
Fish, Nudibranch, Moray Eels, Golden Trevally, Coral Trout, large Cod
|

Outer Reef Dive Sites:
|
|
The Elbow: max depth 20 metres This dive site has a cleaning station where
we often see Mantas.
There is a mini-wall with a Lion Fish cave. Sharks, turtles and large pelagic fish
often seen. Nudibranchs, Moray Eels, Coral Trout, Baldchin Groper and rays can also be found here. |
| The 23rd: max depth 24
metres Spectacular site with a wall running 18 to 24
metres including two ampitheatres and small caves. Here we often see
Mantas, Groper, Cods, Sharks and larger pelagic species such
as Spanish Mackerel. |

|
Heikes: max depth 14 metres
Mini-wall and coral bommies. White Tip Reef Sharks, Anemone patches
with Clown Fish, Shrimp, Glassfish schools, Nudibranchs, turtles.
Often visited by pelagic fish such as Mackerel, Tuna and Giant
Trevally, also Sharks and Barracuda. |
